Attending a Virtual Wedding, At Home

It looks like virtual Zoom weddings are here to stay.  I had the pleasure of attending my ading's (basically a sorority "little," but for Filipinos) virtual wedding earlier this month and I wanted to make my virtual attendance an event.  Because what else is there to live for at this point in the pandemic?

I bought this Rotate Birger Christensen dress because of its iconic #RHOBH status: both Lisa Rinna and Kyle wore this polka dot puff sleeve dress to some event during filming unintentionally matching.  This is the SECOND Rotate dress that RHOBH wives have worn to the same event - it's clearly a stylist favorite and that is reason enough for me to buy the dress (so long as it's on sale and not $300 ha).  Did I have an event to wear the dress to? No.  Once I got invited to this virtual wedding though, I knew that would be the perfect time to break it in.  I LOVE this dress.

Wine Glasses: Estelle Colored Glass | Charcuterie Boards: Amazon

Now let's talk about the set up.  A COVID-safe hangout means one charcuterie board per person!  I spent $100 dollars on Whole Foods delivery groceries for charcuterie boards and rosé and ordered these little chalk cheeseboards on Amazon to arrange all of that food.  They came with little pieces of chalk to write names on them too. CUTE!

Of course, can't forget the rosé, Whispering Angel to be exact.  It was a perfect balmy San Francisco day for a virtual wedding that was actually taking place in Malibu! The zoom feed was pretty interesting, unclear that the venue had really practiced or rehearsed the filming, as the feed was sideways almost the whole time and we couldn't hear anything except for some Titas who didn't know how to mute themselves and were throwing shade at their family members without knowing it was public.  There was a cute bench set up for the bride and groom to greet everyone and accept everyone's well wishes after the ceremony, which was great.  Since we couldn't hear the vows, we got the highlights from this zoom session instead.  We also set up a separate zoom with our friends (read: paamily) so we could chat with each other while we were watching. We all chipped in and sent the bride a box of Venus Et Fleur roses as a wedding gift, which is a great COVID gift IMO.  It was great, but can't wait to celebrate together in real life when this is all over.

Best,

Isabella
